The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art at Lamar offers you the opportunity to work in spacious, creative environments, and you'll have access to our Mac labs any time you wish. You'll also have the chance to display your own works of art throughout the Art Building and the Dishman Museum on campus and to build a professional portfolio for your endeavors after graduation.
Drawing: You will spend this course investigating a variety of drawing media, techniques and subjects, exploring perceptual and descriptive possibilities.
Design: The study of the elements and concepts of two-dimensional design.
Painting: Painting I is a course exploring the potentials of painting media and techniques with emphasis on color, composition and content development.
Sculpture: An exploration of the various sculptural approaches in wood, cement and mold making, including additive and subtractive techniques.
Photography: An introduction to basic photographic processes and techniques used as an art medium.
Upon completion of the BFA in Studio Arts at 海角社区, you may choose to pursue professional artistry or a career-related field, or you may continue your professional preparation in graduate study. Many students in the BFA program in studio art pursue graduate study that leads to the Master of Fine Arts degree.
