Meeting called to order at 1:00pm by Dr. Jerry Lin.
I. Introduction of New Council Members
Dr. Lin: Welcome new members: Mamta Singh and Kurt Dyrhaug. We look forward to working with each of you.
II. Planning of FY22 Meetings
Dr. Lin: meeting documents are archived in the shared folder under MS Teams’ Research Council for feature meetings.
III. Cayuse Fund Manager is LIVE – Training Information
Dr. Lin: Cayuse Fund Manager is now available to all principal investigators so they can review their grant funds. There are plans to roll out more training events. Currently there are videos available for quick review.
IV. Roundtable
i. Naming competition for Makerspace – selection and upcoming grand opening
Dr. Lin: We will hold an event in October for the grand opening and announce the winner of the naming competition for the Makerspace. There are also three runner ups. The event will take place in the lobby of the S&T Building at 2 pm on October 8, 2021.
ii. IDC expenditure clarification
Dr. Lin: We can charge the federal government an IDC rate of 32.6% for grants.
