National Press Photographers Association

The National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), established in 1946, is the leading voice advocating for the rights of visual journalists. Our organization represents close to 5000 members and advocates for working news photo, video, and multimedia journalists. NPPA also embraces students, educators, and all who are self-employed or work for media organizations and institutions.

National Association of Black Journalists

The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides innovative, quality programs and services to its members. The organization advocates on behalf of Black journalists and media professionals in the U.S. and worldwide. NABJ’s membership is more than 4,000 strong and includes emerging journalists, professional journalists, student journalists, journalism educators and media professionals of all kinds.

International Radio and Television Society Foundation

The International Radio and Television Society Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with a membership that ranges from the most accomplished professionals in the media and entertainment business to those who are just beginning their careers. It evolved from an organization founded in 1939 that established a charitable arm in 1964 that grew into the IRTS as it exists today.

The Television Academy Foundation shapes the art of creating television by engaging and educating the next generation of television professionals. Established in 1959 as the charitable arm of the Television Academy, the Foundation has nurtured thousands of talented students, providing essential resources that help them discover their voices, refine their skills and forge rewarding careers in every sector of the television industry.

The National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) is a national network of professionals and students dedicated to the recognition and professional advancement of Hispanics in the news industry, while providing a national voice and unified vision for all Hispanic journalists.

National Electronic Media Association

Since its founding in 1943, NBS-AERho the National Electronic Media Association has brought together college students and professionals in electronic media. NBS level membership is open to all students with an interest in electronic media. Alpha Epsilon Rho, the national honor society for electronic media, recognizes the best students in the field.

The organization is dedicated to help make the transition from student to professional efficient, effective, and fun. We prepare students for the profession by sharing real-world experience and focusing on the ethical challenges they may face in the future.


Public Relations Student Society of America

Founded in 1967, the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is the foremost organization for students interested in public relations and communications. We advocate rigorous academic standards for public relations education, the highest ethical principles and diversity in the profession.

Lambda Pi Eta (LPH)

Lambda Pi Eta (LPH) is the National Communication Association’s official honor society at four-year colleges and universities. LPH has more than 500 active chapters at four-year colleges and universities nationwide, including 海角社区. LPH represents what Aristotle described in Rhetoric as three ingredients of persuasion: logos (Lambda), meaning logic; pathos (Pi), relating to emotion; and ethos (Eta), defined as character credibility and ethics.
