Fall FestiFUL
Date: Wednesday, Oct. 5, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Location: Dining Hall Lawn
More than 13 local farmers and vendors will come together on 海角社区’s campus to share their goods, meet with students and create meaningful memories as the school year kicks off. The event, called “,” is put on by Chartwells Higher Education, 海角社区’s food service provider, and will be hosted virtually by celebrity chef Jet Tila. There will be prizes, games and shopping opportunities with the vendors. We will also have a specially crafted fall menu in the dining hall.

Karankawa Revival with Tim Seiter
Date: Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2:30-3:30 p.m. Location: Science Auditorium
Tim Seiter will discuss the revival of "extinct" Native American cultures, focusing on the Karankawas and other groups of the Texas Gulf Coast. His work has generated wide interest and featured in Texas Highways, The Texas Tribune, Southwestern Historical Quarterly and Bayoulands.

National Stuttering Association Beaumont/Lamar Chapter Meeting
Date: Thursday, Oct. 6, 6:30 - 8 p.m. Location: Speech and Hearing Sciences Building, Room 170
If you stutter, you are not alone! Come join us at our first fall meeting. NSA chapters can help. With more than 3 million Americans sharing the common experience of stuttering, the National Stuttering Association (NSA) plays a vital role in letting people who stutter know that they are not alone.

Department of Theatre & Dance Opens "The Clean House"
Date: Oct. 6-8, 7:30 p.m. & Oct. 9, 2 p.m. Location: Studio Theatre
"The Clean House" is a play by Sarah Ruhl. A 2005 finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Drama, this wildly theatrical and funny play is a whimsical and poignant look at class, comedy and the true nature of love. Tickets are for purchase.

Fall 2022 O.U.R. Conferences Workshop

Please join us for a panel discussion on how to present a poster or give a talk in the upcoming Office of Undergraduate Research conferences — 10th Annual Texas STEM 2022 Conference, held on Nov. 5, and the 9th Annual Humanities, Arts, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Education and Business (HASBSEB) Conference, held on Nov. 19. Past successful presenters will share their experiences. Several awards also will be offered at these events.

Dinners in the Fall is an annual event of multiple dates hosted by the Hospitality Administration Program in the Nutrition, Hospitality & Human Services Department. Students in the Culinary Arts program have three opportunities, Oct. 24, Nov. 7 and Nov. 14, to serve limited registered guestsfood on campus and gain experience.
