Abigail Dueppen is the Director of the Vocology Certificate Program at 海角社区. A coloratura soprano, Ms. Dueppen has performed in national and international houses to critical acclaim. For more information about her opera, oratorio, and recital career, please visit .
Ms. Dueppen holds her Bachelor of Music degree with academic distinction in vocal performance and music education from the Eastman School of Music and her Master of Music degree in vocal performance from the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music.
Additionally, Ms. Dueppen is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist specializing in voice disorders. She obtained her Master of Science degree in speech-language pathology from 海角社区. During her graduate studies at Lamar, she concurrently served as Adjunct Instructor of Voice in the Music Department.
Ms. Dueppen completed her externship at the world-renowned Texas Voice Center at Houston Methodist Hospital, under the tutelage of Jeremy Hathway, Dr. Apurva Thekdi, and Dr. C. Richard Stasney, where she now serves as a speech-language pathologist working with patients with voice disorders.
Ms. Dueppen’s research interests include vocal pedagogy, opera performance and vocology. Her present projects include developing and implementing a Vocology Certificate program at Lamar that is at the forefront of current research, developing an eHealth app to help educate professionals on the proper use and care of the voice, as well as recording and releasing a CD with the chamber music ensemble: .

Maurice Goodwin is a licensed and practicing Speech-Language Pathologist, voice teacher, and active performer now living in Houston, TX. Professionally he specializes in the evaluation and treatment of the singing voice and voice disorders at The Texas Voice Center.
Following his undergraduate studies in music performance at Shenandoah University, he completed his graduate work in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh. During his time at the University of Pittsburgh Voice Center, he completed his graduate thesis on the challenges and changes that occur in the voices of elderly adults.
His background as a performer and speech pathologist led him to complete a fellowship at the University of Wisconsin Voice and Swallow Clinics in the treatment of singers, actors, teachers, and other occupational voice users with voice problems. He is a regular lecturer and presenter at conferences focused on the health and education of professional voice users. He is passionate about vocal health education and the intersections of identity and voice.
Maurice is licensed to practice in the state of Texas and holds national certification from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

Teresa Procter (she/her) is an American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certified speech-language pathologist specializing in voice and upper airway disorders. She is a classically trained singer with joint clinical training and expertise in the evaluation and treatment of the voice.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Luther College in Decorah, IA and completed her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Rice University at the renowned Shepherd School of Music in Houston, TX.
She received her post-baccalaureate and Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Houston, where she was an active member of the Joshi Voice LabHer passion for the performing voice and voice habilitation and led her to the Lakeshore Professional Voice Center in Metro Detroit for the completion of her clinical fellowship in voice, swallowing, and upper airway disorders with Dr. Juliana Codino and Dr. Adam Rubin.
Research endeavors have included publications and presentations at national and international levels on socio-linguistically diverse voices, acoustic assessments during COVID-19, neurolaryngology, clinical fellowship opportunities in voice, and post-surgical rehabilitation of the singing voice.
Teresa is a licensed voice-specialized speech-language pathologist at the Texas Voice Center, Houston Methodist ENT Specialists with clinical interest particularly in the performing voice, neurolaryngeal voice disorders and inducible laryngeal disorders that impact upper airway function.
Teresa currently serves as Music for Autism’s Texas Program Coordinator and Emcee and is an active mentor with ASHA’s S.T.E.P. Program and Momentum Education Houston, TX.

Debra Greschner teaches voice, voice pedagogy and vocal literature at 海角社区. A lyric soprano, her appearances include those with the Nevada Symphony, Symphony of Southeast Texas, Nevada Opera Theatre, Chamber Music Southwest, and at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
She holds the Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education (University of Saskatchewan) and the Master of Music (University of Nevada, Las Vegas).
Greschner has served as Book Reviewer for the Journal of Singing since 2001, and she is a member of its Editorial Board. Greschner has written book reviews for The Opera Journal, and was an invited lecturer for the NATS Internship Program.
Before joining the voice faculty at Lamar, she taught at UNLV, and was a member of the Nevada Arts Council’s Artist in Residence roster. Her students have performed in programs such as the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz and the College Light Opera Company, and have been accepted for graduate studies in both the U.S. and abroad.
